Learn to Fist Pump Like a Guido, Yeah There’s an App for That

I have never bought an iPhone app. That is until yesterday, when I saw on MobileCrunch that Tingalin released a Jersey Shore iPhone app to help aspiring Guidos practice their party skills.

Below is a video demo from the lovely @JessCarruth along with a break down of the app, which costs $0.99. I give it five stars for cleverness and making me laugh for a solid 10 minutes while testing it out.

Generate a Nickname
This is pretty simple tool. You type in your name, select whether you’re male or female, then click generate. The app will then generate a name for you like J Pump, Twinkle Toes, Rock Bottom, The Hair or Chrome Grill.

Fist-Pump Challenge
This probably is my favorite part of the app. First select a song from your iPhone to jam to – then start pumpin’. (See @JessCarruth ‘s demo video.) This app will measure your fist pump count, pumps per minute, average pump force, calories burned and your average pump time per track length

Pick-up Lines
This part of the app can come in very handy if you are having a bad night and all your regular pick-up lines aren’t working. Simply open the app and hit New Line if you are looking for something original like, “Stop, drop and roll girl; cause you are on fire!”

Glow Stick
This part of the app is similar to the fist-pump challenge; however, now your iPhone screen will also display a bright glow stick on the screen while you’re fist-pumpin’. Like the challenge the glow stick will measure your fist-pump count, pumps per minute, average pump force and calories burned.
